Mobile Medical Team of MOND Provides Treatment Near Cambodian Thai Border
From 5 to 6 April 2015, mobile medical team of Cambodian Ministry of National Defense, under cooperation with Pursat provincial department of health in military region 5 and medical team from batalion 145, led by Brigadier General Mey Thornara, deputy director of health, conducted a humanitarian medical treatment to local residents and soldiers in the area of battalion 145, company 6, stationed Veal Veng district, Pursat province.
The mission took place at the same time when General Tea Banh, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense went to visit and brought donation to soldiers stationed along Cambodian-Thai border.
During the mission, the medical team has checked and treated for malaria, respiratory, gastrointestinal diseases, cold, oral diseases, minor surgeries, and ultrasound for pregnant women for the total of 2,028 civilians and soldiers.
At the same time, General Tea Banh also attended in delivery of insecticide mosquito nets to battalion 145, Pursat Battalion, Veal Veng Battalion, National police and location authorities.
It should be noted that highest delegate of MOND visits the border of Cambodia at least once a year.
