Health Department Distributes Microscope to West Border Units

On 4 July 2015, health department received 6 microscopes, donated by AFRIMS, to border units under supervision of brigade 41, located in Banteay Mean Chey province, through malaria elimination project.

The microscope handover event was presided over by deputy director of health department Major General Prom Sotharoth, deputy commander of region 4 Major General Sorn Kimthay and AFRIM regional coordinator Lieutenant Colonel David Sounder.

This is not the first time that AFRIMS donates microscopes. This organization has donated more microscopes and training through other malaria projects to this regions.

The event was conducted at Apsara Angkor Hotel, Siem Reap.
