H.E Ek Sam Ol Receives Treatment for Lumbar Foraminal Stenosis
5 March 2017, H.E Ek Sam Ol, advisor to Prime Minister Hun Sen, also the president of Cambodian Chinese Friendship Association received treatment for lumbar foraminal stenosis, using Endoscopic Lumbar Foraminotomy technique at Preah Keto Mealea Hospital; the treatment was performed among experts from China and the hospital itself.
The benefits of this treatment are:
- Minimally invasive surgery requires only a tiny incision made in the lower back, leading to less blood loss, minimal scarring and only a little bandage required to cover the incison.
- Spine stays stable because of our surgeon will only widen the necessary amount of the intervertebral foramina. The foramina are the small openings in each vertebra thorugh which the spinal cord, spinal artery and other vessels and nerves pass.
- Fast recuperation that typically permits the patient to return to their daily life, work and activities much sooner than traditional open surgery.
H.E Ek Sam Ol is now recovering the post traumatic pain from the incision. The operation is considered 100% success as expected. All pain disappeared.
On this same day, another local residents from Stoung district, Kampong Thom province, also came to receive the treatment as recommended by neighbors.
Major General Kheang Vuthy, deputy director of Preah Keto Mealea Hospital said it is an honor to be able to service both high profile leaders and normal citizens.
